My father transferred to the RNZN in 1949 from the RN and we lived in Cambridge in the navy houses.I would be interested in hearing from anyone who new him.
Some of the N,Z ships he was in are:Maori, Philomel,Bellona.Some English ships,Warren, Pembroke, Hopetown,Exmoor,Formidable.
His rank was leading writer.
